Response Essay
I fully agree with Bernard Tschumi because he thinks
architecture depends on events occuring from the world. On the 70th and 80th
centruies architects care like their works would be exhibited in the museums.
Also, “surface” was more important than “space”.
The architecture has altered with time and
ideology and of course it cannot separate from time. Architects must design
their works by caring people and of course their movements because architecture
exist for the people and if people are easily move in the building and the
building is design for the body motions, it is the real architecture.
Naturally there is always an interaction
between the actions, movement that these people perform and the walls that had
been constructed. For that reason events become as important as the space
itself.
Research about Parkour
Parkour is a
holistic training discipline using movement that developed from military
obstacle course training. Practitioners aim to get from A to B in the most
efficient way possible. They do this using only their bodies and their
surroundings to propel themselves; furthermore, they try to maintain as much
momentum as is possible in a safe manner. Parkour can include obstacle courses,
running, climbing, swinging, vaulting, jumping,
rolling, quadrupedal movement, and the like, depending
on what movement is deemed most suitable for the given situation.
Parkour is a non-competitive activity, which can be
practiced alone or with others. It can be practiced in any location, but is
usually practiced in urban space.
